Dominik Grimm contributed to a new book chapter introducing state-of-the-art methods and tools in genome-wide association studies together with Anja Gumpinger, Damian Roqueiro and Karsten Borgwardt from the Machine Learning and Computational Biology Lab at ETH Zürich.
Im Rahmen des Projektes, Trans-SEC – Innovating Strategies to safeguard Food Security using Technology and Knowledge Transfer: A people-centred Approach (www.trans-sec.org/) (BMBF), führt der Lehrstuhl für Umweltpolitik und Ressourcenökonomie derzeit die dritte Welle einer Panelbefragung von 820 Haushalten in Dodoma und Morogoro in Tansania durch. Die umfangreiche Befragung findet in Kooperation mit dem Institut für Umweltökonomie und Welthandel der Leibniz Universität Hannover und der Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tansania statt.
Prof. Dr. Alexander Hübner was appointed by the advisory board of the German Logistics association as new Editor of the Logistics Research. The interdisciplinary journal publishes theoretical and applied research at the interface between technology, informatics, mathematics and management, which perfectly aligns with TUM strategy “where management meets technology”.
Leading international scientists and industry experts came together on October 24-26 for the „Future of Retail Operations“ workshop at the recently opened TUM Campus Heilbronn. Organized by Prof. Dr. Alexander Hübner (Chair of Supply and Value Chain Management, TUM Campus Straubing) and Prof. Dr. Stefan Minner (Chair of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, TUM School of Management), the participants discussed latest research, new industry practices, and upcoming trends and innovations in retail operations such as omni-channel operations, operations-marketing interfaces, distribution concepts, and retail analytics.
