DAY 1: Thursday, 01.10.2026, 10:00-18:00
- Proven Impact: Opening presentation by Dr.-Ing. Ammar Al-Shameri
- Get to know each other
- Discussion of research fields and methods
- Topic identification and team building
- Joint dinner
DAY 2: Friday, 02.10.2026, 8:30-15:00
- Team building
- Development of project concepts
- REFINEMENT STAGE: 03.10.2026-26.10.2026
- Refine your idea and write a three-page proposal including time and budget table
DAY 3: Wednesday, 11.11.2026, 10:00-12:00
- Project-Pitch (ca. 5-10 min)
- Discussion with auditorium (ca. 5-10 min)
- Announcement of winning team
Events on Days 1 and 2 are held on location in Straubing, on Day 3 online participation will also be possible. The full event will be held in English.
Open to anyone holding a doctorate and is doing research at TUM (scholarship, temporary or permanent contract).
* For the first 5 registrations from other TUM locations accommodation costs will be covered.
Terms: The project team consists of members of 2-5 different research groups (with at least one person from TUMCS) // The topic must be different from current activities of the research group // The award funding must be used for preliminary experiments (chemicals, laboratory equipment, HiWis) targeting a proposal submission // The winners (max. 3) will present their results in October 2027.
