The evening began at 6:30 PM with welcome remarks by Prof. Dr. Anja Faße, Vice President of TUM Campus Straubing, and Mayor Albert Solleder. This was followed by brief presentations of the three key research institutions in Straubing: TUM Campus, the Technology and Support Center (TFZ), and the Fraunhofer IGB.
Friederike Gut from Bayern Innovativ then introduced funding programs for research-industry cooperation. Prof. Dr. Faße provided an overview of the upcoming workshops.
Two rounds of workshops allowed for in-depth discussions on the following topics:
- Bio-based materials for construction, agriculture, and plastics (Fraunhofer IGB)
- CO₂ utilization and sustainable fuels (TUM Campus)
- General information about the Straubing research location (TFZ)
The event concluded with a poster session and informal get-together, offering space for networking and deeper conversations.
The event was a great success, highlighting the strong potential for interdisciplinary collaboration between science and industry in the Straubing region.
