Important Notice

Although TUMCS is named a Campus, the German universities themselves do not provide any accomodation and nutrition and none of them are included in the semester fees.

It is up to the students to find accommodation and provide themselves with food*. 

However, here are some contact points and links to get you started on your hunt for an appartment, a flat-sharing community or a room in a student residence.

* The Canteen and the Cafeteria of the Student Union offer lunch and snacks but those are also not included in the semester fees. 

Residential complexes of the Studentenwerk

STWNO

The apartment rented by the Studierendenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz offers space for ten students and is about 3 km (10 minutes by bike) from the TUM campus. The apartment has been completely renovated and is equipped with high-quality furnishings (modern bathrooms, oiled oak floorboards). The rooms are not furnished and therefore offer the possibility to design the living space according to your own taste.

Rent: 229,- € to 431,- € for a room in a shared flat (10 rooms, the rent is depending on the size of the room)

The prerequisite for applying for an apartment in a residence complex of the Studierendenwerk is the fulfilment of the following application conditions.

STWNO

The flat rent by the Studierendenwerk from May 1, 2020, offers space for 6 students and is located about 4 km (15 minutes by bike) from the TUM Campus Straubing. The flat has been renovated and is furnished with bed, desk and wardrobe (bathroom with shower and two toilets with washing facilities are available). The rooms have different floor coverings – tiles, parquet, linoleum – and despite the basic furnishing, you still have the possibility to design the living room according to your own taste.

Rent: 262,- € to 344,- € for a room in a shared flat (10 rooms, the rent is depending on the size of the room)
