Josef Eiglsperger won prize money of €300 as part of a science project, which can be used for a school project.
For several years now, Dr. Claudia Martin and the students participating in her lecture “NawaRo goes to school” have been coming to the Bruckner Gymnasium. As part of this project, the students give annual lectures to 9th grade classes and plant NawaRo plants in the school garden.
The prize money was used to buy more NawaRo plants and replant them. In addition, renewable resource signs were purchased, along with four watering cans, four rakes, and a wheelbarrow for the elective gardening course. The school administration, represented by principal Dr. Eva Huller, biology teacher Kathrin Wegerer, and the school garden team were thrilled about the support.
Further collaborations between Anton Bruckner Gymnasium and TUM are planned for the coming years to integrate sustainability topics more strongly into everyday school life and to further promote young people's interest in science and research.
