Call for applications Circular Bootcamp (CiBoo) – Sustainability in Action

The Chair of Circular Economy and Sustainability Assessment and the Professorship Economics are inviting you to participate in the Circular Bootcamp (CiBoo) – Sustainability in Action, a chance to explore the sustainability lifestyle and build practical skills in the field.  

The CiBoo project will take place during the upcoming winter term 2025/2026 and will be a great space for you to explore practical circular economy skills along with abilities to create related content for social media channels. We will start off with building knowledge as part of different workshops on topics such as social media and circular economy. You will then take it over by solving different challenges, such as repairing, garment, grocery shopping, waste management, and document your journey by creating social media content.  

 

What do we expect from our participants? 

  • Students who are motivated to explore a sustainable lifestyle and are willing to change habits 

  • Students who are familiar with social media tools and are ready to expand them 

  • Students willing to document and share their experiences (e.g. via the Instagram page of the project) 

  • Students currently living or planning to live in the student residence of STWNO in Zeissigstraße 19, Straubing 

 

Benefits for participating in the CiBoo project include: 

  • 250€ rent subsidy per month for the duration of the project 

  • Participate in social media training workshops by the Mediaschool Bayern 

  • Explore real-world challenges and practices on the topics of sustainability, circular economy, social media 

  • Being part of a community with like-minded people and values that live and drive sustainability through own example and actions.

Important notes:

The CiBoo project focuses on students living in four-person shared apartments (WGs) at the STWNO student residence on Zeissigstraße 19 in Straubing. If you are not yet living in a four-person WG at that location, please make sure to also apply for a place in the student residence using the following link, in addition to submitting your application documents for the bootcamp. You don’t need to apply as a team of four; just submit your individual applications for the student residence and the Circular Bootcamp. We’ll assign WGs after the selection process. The language of the project is English.
