The Global Young Academy consists of 200 young academic leaders between 30 to 40 years old and involves more than 40 National Young Academies spread all around the world. The Global Young Academy is devoted to provide a voice to young scientists over the six continents, playing a key role in international, interdisciplinary, and inter-generational actions that provide a global impact on the development of our society.
In 2019 the Academia Joven España (AJE) was created aiming at becoming a new dynamic and solid player to support outstanding young scientists as well as a critical platform to influence in the political scientific actions involving national and international associations and foundations. Over more than 200 applicants, Prof. Costa has been selected by an international panel as a new Numerary member of the AJE. The committee highlighted his outstanding scientific career in the development of sustainable lighting and photovoltaic systems as well as his exceptional commitment in supporting the new generation that will shape the future of our society.
