Master’s degree programs

A Master’s programme is a postgraduate course of study. This means that you must first complete a basic course of study – for example a Bachelor’s degree [13]. Depending on the orientation of the degree programme, the TUM awards the following Master’s degrees: Master of Science, (M.Sc.), Master of Arts (M.A.), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Master of Science with honours (M.Sc. with honours). As a rule, a Master’s degree entitles the holder to a doctorate [14]. If you have completed your studies abroad and would now like to know how your degree is assessed in Germany, the anabin database [15] is your first orientation.

The Technical University of Munich currently offers the following Master’s programmes at its study location in Straubing:

  • Biomass Technology, M.Sc. [16]
(Students can only start their studies in the winter semester. Application period: 15.5. – 15.7.)
  • Renewable Resources, M.Sc. [17]
(Students can start their studies in the winter and summer semester. Application period: 15.5. – 15.7. 1.11. bis 15.1.)
