Master’s degree programs

A Master’s programme is a postgraduate course of study. This means that you must first complete a basic course of study – for example a Bachelor’s degree. Depending on the orientation of the degree programme, the TUM awards the following Master’s degrees: Master of Science, (M.Sc.), Master of Arts (M.A.), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Master of Science with honours (M.Sc. with honours). As a rule, a Master’s degree entitles the holder to a doctorate. If you have completed your studies abroad and would now like to know how your degree is assessed in Germany, the anabin database is your first orientation.

The Technical University of Munich currently offers the following Master’s programmes at its study location in Straubing:

  • Biomass Technology, M.Sc.
    (Students can only start their studies in the winter semester. Application period: 15.5. – 15.7.)
  • Renewable Resources, M.Sc.
    (Students can start their studies in the winter and summer semester. Application period: 15.5. – 15.7. 1.11. bis 15.1.)
